\nAlchester has provided an overview of the choices available for installing each of the Reckon suite accounting of solutions.

NOTE\u00a0 1:<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>
\nMOBILE Tablet and smartphone usage<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0 is ideal for enquiries\/lookup when on the road,
\nbut for extended accounting\/bookkeeping operations,
\nthe laptop\/PC client configurations are recommended.
\nFor instance:\u00a0 iPADs running v6.0 are ideal for invoicing,\u00a0 as is v8.2
\nBut attempting detailed access via iPhone v7.1.1.1 on a small screen size, is not ideal.
\nGenerally speaking, Tablets with a detachable physical keyboard are ideal, leaving 100% of screen for data.
\nCombinations of Operating System and Browser, needs to be considered.

\n– Android v4.4.3\u00a0 with HTC browser,\u00a0 or with Firefox APP v38.0.0<\/p>\n

KEYBOARDS<\/span><\/strong> on some smartPHONE devices may need reviewing.
\nIE:\u00a0 To ensure full use is available of QWERTY and\/or full numeric and decimal features are present.
\nTIP:\u00a0 On Android phones a nice keyboard option to load as a FREE APP:\u00a0 is the Swiftkey keyboard<\/strong>”\u00a0<\/span>
\nwhich contains a compliment of calculator symbols and the needed decimal point character.<\/p>\n

APPS<\/span>.<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0 Note there are two distinct APPs available.\u00a0\u00a0 One is a free, standalone APP called:\u00a0 “Reckon INVOICES”<\/strong>.

\nPre May 2015,<\/strong> Reckon ONE relied upon a BROWSER\u00a0 feature: MS Silverlight<\/span>.\u00a0<\/strong>
\nThis is a PLUG-IN (Add-on, extension) feature for a Browser.\u00a0 Depending on the choice user’s have taken for their client PC\/laptop\/Tablet\/smartphone, various Browsers are available.\u00a0 Examples are listed in the TERMINOLOGY section. \u00a0 Care is needed to select the right combination of Plug-ins and browsers, from different vendors to ensure compatibility.\u00a0 IE: Mozilla Firefox (Iceweasel, Mercury) v 37 with Silverlight

NOTE 5:<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0 Capacities.<\/span><\/strong>
\nThis is measured in what is called ‘names’.\u00a0 It should be made clear from the outset, that there is no limitation on the number of transactions<\/strong> (like invoices, bills, cheques, journals, adjustment notes, credit notes for instance).<\/p>\n

But NAMES<\/strong> are: Customers (and their jobs),<\/em> Suppliers, Superannuation names, and inventory items.\u00a0 The single-user and PREMIER versions of Reckon Accounts have one capacity,\u00a0 whilst the Enterprise version of Reckon Accounts, which is also the HOSTED implementation, has another.<\/p>\n

TIP:<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0\u00a0 The size of the database can be seen on desktop\/Enterprise Reckon Accounts by using the CTL-1\u00a0 key.<\/p>\n
